Dagnall is a small village and civil parish located in the county of Buckinghamshire, England. Situated in the Chiltern Hills, it lies approximately 3 miles north of the town of Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire. Dagnall is surrounded by picturesque countryside, with the Ashridge Estate and the Dunstable Downs nearby, providing scenic views and ample opportunities for outdoor activities.

The village itself has a population of around 500 people, and it retains a charming rural character. Dagnall is known for its historic buildings, including St. Peter's Church, which dates back to the 12th century. The church features a striking spire and is a Grade II listed building, attracting visitors interested in its architectural heritage.

Amenities in Dagnall are limited, with a small village hall serving as a community hub for local events and activities. There is also a primary school, providing education for children in the area. For further amenities, residents typically rely on nearby towns such as Berkhamsted or Dunstable.

The village benefits from its location within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with numerous walking and cycling routes in the surrounding countryside. The Ashridge Estate, managed by the National Trust, offers extensive woodland and parkland for visitors to explore.

Dagnall provides a tranquil and picturesque setting for those seeking a rural lifestyle, while still being within commuting distance of larger towns and cities in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

Must remember to bring a change of clothes next time we're out walking this way. (As a golfer myself, I wish we could shake off this image - Robin)
