Footpath at the Devisdale, near Altrincham The Devisdale is an area of public open space in Altrincham. Altrincham Grammar School for Girls is located nearby and unfortunately my first attempt to take geographs was thwarted by my visit coinciding with the two hours in the year that the schools sponsored walk was taking place. After being interrogated by very suspicious police officers, I decided to come back later.
