Glass Burn The Glass Burn descends moorland slopes towards Glen. A plantation containing western hemlock has recently been felled. Paths meet before a pass through the ridgeline nick. From there you can descend through Cardrona Forest, or contour beneath Birks Hill to pick up the drove road to Peebles.

Col, Little Craigie Side An old road from Peebles to Glen via Gypsy Glen crosses a ridge via a nick here. From the col you can go along the forest edge in either direction to link up with logging roads or climb away on the north side to a path which contours beneath Birks Hill to the drove road to Peebles.
