Round bale, Redside A few straw bales remained amongst the wheat stubble. The field was a useful escape route as the track beyond Redside was blocked by construction. I am good at ignoring the signs, but will not interfere with a working JCB.

Track Junction, Old Plantation Straight on is a dead end, as mapped. Turn left for a sometimes muddy but very scenic road across the gorge of the Redside Burn.

Young woodland and road, Redside The road leads only to a field beyond the strip wood in the distance. This was now under cultivation so I had to return. There has been some recent expansion of the woodland on the left.
