A train standing at Danycoed Halt This is currently the northernmost station on the Gwili Railway which runs on the route of the erstwhile Carmarthen to Aberystwyth line. The Railway has ambitions to extend a further 4 miles to the north to Llanpumpsaint but the terrain is difficult and several bridges would need to be reinstated to achieve that, a very expensive proposition.
