Mouse-ear Hawkweed Hawkweeds, Hawksbeards and Hawkbits all have dandelion-like flowers and are notoriously difficult to tell apart. This is the exception, instantly recognisable because its flowers are lemon-yellow, while all the others are more canary-yellow.

Braeside Rocks is a small island located off the coast of Banffshire, in northeastern Scotland. Situated in the North Sea, this rocky outcrop measures approximately 1.5 acres in size and is known for its rugged and picturesque landscape.

Accessible only by boat, Braeside Rocks is a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers. The island is characterized by its dramatic cliffs, which provide nesting sites for a wide variety of seabirds, including puffins, guillemots, and razorbills. Bird colonies can be observed from designated viewing points, offering visitors a unique opportunity to observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.

In addition to its rich birdlife, Braeside Rocks boasts stunning panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and the expansive North Sea. The island's rocky terrain provides a challenging environment for adventurous hikers, who can explore its rugged paths and enjoy the tranquility of the remote location.

Historically, Braeside Rocks played a role in the local fishing industry, with fishermen using the island as a navigational landmark and a shelter during storms. Today, it stands as a testament to the region's maritime heritage.

While there are no permanent structures or amenities on the island, visitors can bring their own supplies and enjoy a picnic amidst the breathtaking scenery. It is important to note that due to its exposed location, strong currents, and unpredictable weather conditions, caution is advised when visiting Braeside Rocks.
