Half Ebb Rock is a coastal feature located in East Lothian, Scotland. Situated on the eastern coast, it is specifically found at the headland of a larger landmass that juts out into the North Sea. This headland is commonly referred to as Half Ebb Point due to the presence of the rock formation.

Half Ebb Rock itself is a prominent geological feature that stands tall and proud amidst the surrounding coastal landscape. Composed primarily of rugged sandstone, it has been shaped over time by the relentless pounding of the sea waves, resulting in its distinctive form. The rock is characterized by its sheer cliffs, weathered crevices, and jagged edges which add to its visual appeal.

This coastal feature is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Its height provides a vantage point for stunning panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and the vast expanse of the North Sea. Visitors often embark on walks along the coastal path that leads to Half Ebb Rock, enjoying the fresh sea breeze and the sights and sounds of the natural environment.

In addition to its aesthetic appeal, Half Ebb Rock also serves as a vital habitat for various marine and bird species. The rugged cliffs offer nesting grounds for seabirds such as gulls, fulmars, and razorbills. The rock pools located at its base are home to a diverse range of marine life, including crabs, small fish, and anemones.

Overall, Half Ebb Rock stands as a significant coastal feature in East Lothian, adding to the region's natural beauty and providing a haven for both wildlife and humans to enjoy.

John Muir Statue, Dunbar John Muir (1838-1914) was America's most famous and influential naturalist and conservationist. He is one of California's most important historical personalities. He has been called "The Father of the National Parks," "Wilderness Prophet," and "Citizen of the Universe." He once described himself more humorously, and perhaps most accurately, as, a "poetico-trampo-geologist-botanist and ornithologist-naturalist etc. etc. !!!!" Legendary librarian and author Lawrence Clark Powell (1906-2001) said of him: "If I were to choose a single Californian to occupy the Hall of Fame, it would be this tenacious Scot who became a Californian during the final forty-six years of his life."

Belhaven Brewery The entrance to one of the great Scottish breweries. Belhaven was demerged from a larger group back in early 1990's, as I remember under the brand-master hand of Raymond Miguel, and which went on to become City Centre Restaurants plc (now called The Restaurant Group) which used to include well known names such as Est Est Est, Garfunkels, The Filling Station, Cafe Uno, Wok Wok, Chiquitos, Frankie and Benny's even the little chrome caravan niche called "OK Diner". It would seem that some of these are no longer part of their portfolio.
