Careg Lyfn is a prominent headland located on the Pembrokeshire coast in Wales, United Kingdom. Situated in the southwest region of the country, it stands as a remarkable coastal feature that attracts both locals and tourists alike.

Rising approximately 200 feet above sea level, Careg Lyfn offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding coastline. Its rugged and dramatic cliffs, composed mainly of sedimentary rock, provide a striking contrast against the deep blue waters of the Celtic Sea. The headland boasts a distinctive, jagged profile, which adds to its visual appeal.

The area around Careg Lyfn is renowned for its rich biodiversity, making it an important site for nature enthusiasts. The headland provides a habitat for a variety of seabirds, including razorbills, guillemots, and kittiwakes, which nest on the cliffs during the breeding season. Visitors can often witness these birds diving into the sea to catch fish or hear their distinctive cries echoing along the coast.

In addition to its natural beauty, Careg Lyfn also holds historical significance. It is believed to have been a strategic location during ancient times, possibly serving as a lookout point or defensive position. The headland's name itself translates to "smooth rock," referring to the smooth, weathered surfaces found on some of the cliffs.

Accessible by foot, Careg Lyfn offers a range of walking paths and hiking trails that allow visitors to explore its captivating landscape. Its rugged beauty, diverse wildlife, and historical value make it a must-visit destination for nature lovers, history enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a memorable coastal experience in Pembrokeshire.
