Ro Bach is a picturesque beach located on the Isle of Anglesey, off the northwest coast of Wales. Situated near the village of Llanfaelog, this sandy beach offers visitors a tranquil setting and breathtaking views of the Irish Sea.

With its golden sand and clear blue waters, Ro Bach is a popular destination for both locals and tourists seeking a peaceful seaside retreat. The beach is fairly secluded, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and solitude. Its remote location ensures that it remains less crowded than some of the more popular tourist beaches in the area.

Ro Bach is known for its natural beauty and unspoiled surroundings. The beach is backed by rolling sand dunes, providing a stunning backdrop against the sparkling sea. The dunes are home to a variety of flora and fauna, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers.

Visitors to Ro Bach can enjoy a range of activities such as swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. The beach is also a great spot for coastal walks, with several scenic trails offering panoramic views of the coastline. During low tide, it is possible to explore rock pools and discover a diverse array of marine life.

Facilities at Ro Bach are limited, with no shops or cafes in the immediate vicinity. However, there is a small car park nearby, providing convenient access to the beach. It is advisable to bring along any necessary supplies, such as food and drinks, as well as sun protection.

Overall, Ro Bach offers a peaceful and idyllic setting for those seeking a quieter beach experience on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey.

Tidal skerry off Ynys Llanddwyn This rock is a skerry at high tide, but since it is now near low water, it is easily accessible over the small tombolo beach (after a short scramble down from the busy path).

Landing beach at Ynys Llanddwyn For sea kayakers who have paddled out of Menai Strait over Caernarfon Bar (which can be quite rough if the wind opposes the tide) this is one of the first landing places to catch breath and warm up - I remember being very glad of it on one of my early paddles (out from Plas Menai in 2002 on a circumnavigation of Anglesey). In much calmer weather today, there is an open canoe which is hiding behind the skerry in the centre of the view - not a boat to be here with in a lot of wind.

Saint Dwynwen's Cross Amongst the natural scenery of Ynys Llanddwyn, for some reason the photographer's eye is nonetheless attracted to the man-made, maybe at least partly (in geograph terms) because such objects are readily located on a map. Beyond the church and the cross, across Llanddwyn Bay lies the beach of Newborough Warren and the walk out to Abermenai Point.
