China Island, also known as China Island, Buckinghamshire, is a small and picturesque piece of land located in the southeastern part of the county. Situated in the River Thames, just outside the town of Marlow, it is an enchanting and idyllic destination for both locals and tourists alike.

Covered in lush greenery, China Island is a haven of tranquility and natural beauty. The island boasts a diverse range of flora and fauna, making it a popular spot for nature lovers and birdwatchers. Visitors can explore the island's footpaths, enjoying leisurely walks along the riverbank or through the woodland areas.

One of the notable features of China Island is its historic connection to the pottery industry. The island's name is derived from the production of fine porcelain and china clay that took place in the area during the 18th and 19th centuries. While the pottery industry is no longer active on the island, remnants of its rich history can still be found in the form of old kilns and other artifacts.

China Island is also home to a few residential properties, some of which are privately owned. These homes offer a unique waterfront living experience, with stunning views of the river and its surrounding landscapes.

Overall, China Island in Buckinghamshire is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its natural beauty and historical significance, it is a place of interest that showcases the charm and character of the region.
