Booth Stack is a small island located in the Shetland archipelago, which is part of Scotland. It sits in the North Sea, approximately 30 miles northeast of the mainland. With an area of just 0.04 square miles, Booth Stack is one of the smallest islands in the Shetland group.

This uninhabited island is known for its distinctive rock formation, which resembles a stack rising from the sea. The stack is composed of ancient volcanic rock, giving it a rugged appearance. Standing at approximately 200 feet tall, Booth Stack is an impressive sight to behold and a popular attraction for tourists and nature enthusiasts.

The surrounding waters of Booth Stack are teeming with marine life, making it an ideal spot for diving and snorkeling. Divers can explore the underwater caves and crevices, encountering a variety of colorful fish, seals, and even occasional sightings of dolphins and whales. The island itself is home to various seabird colonies, including puffins, guillemots, and razorbills.

Access to Booth Stack is limited, as there are no regular boat services to the island. However, visitors can arrange private boat tours or join guided excursions organized by local tour operators. Due to its remote location and lack of facilities, it is advisable for visitors to bring their own supplies and adhere to strict conservation guidelines to protect the island's fragile ecosystem.

Overall, Booth Stack offers a unique opportunity to experience the untamed beauty of the Shetland Islands, with its dramatic landscape and abundant wildlife.
