Fuam is a small uninhabited island located off the coast of Inverness-shire, Scotland. Situated in the Inner Hebrides, it lies approximately 4 miles northeast of Mallaig.

Covering an area of around 103 acres, Fuam is characterized by its rugged and rocky terrain. The island boasts stunning natural beauty, with towering cliffs, grassy slopes, and picturesque coves. Its coastline is indented with numerous sea caves, providing a habitat for various marine species.

Access to Fuam is possible by boat or kayak, although it is important to note that there are no scheduled ferry services to the island. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding sea and neighboring islands from the top of the cliffs. The island is also home to a diverse range of bird species, making it a popular spot for birdwatching enthusiasts.

Historically, Fuam was used for grazing livestock, and remnants of old stone walls can still be seen on the island. However, it has been uninhabited for many years, and there are no permanent structures or facilities present.

Given its remote and untouched nature, Fuam provides a tranquil and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It offers a unique opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the natural wonders of the Scottish Highlands and experience the solitude of an uninhabited island.
