Ruined Cottage on Rosevear This cottage was built for the workers building the Bishop Rock Lighthouse and has been abandoned since the construction ended in 1858. It would appear that it was built just about as soundly as the light itself as it is remarkably well preserved. Note that it was built to the north east of a large carn, sheltered from the southwesterly weather.
