On top of Bidein a' Ghlas Thuill With me looking suitably knackered towards the end of a long but glorious day, doing the circuit of An Teallach from Corrie Hallie. A great route, traversing the background ridge from left to right. The return from this peak started fine, a steep descent into the Glas Tholl corrie, but, once out of the corrie, a faint track descending through thick heather covering a tricky boulder field took its toll on weary legs, and the car was a welcome sight.

The rocky spine of An Teallach The peak of Sgurr Fiona with the pinnacled crest of Corrag Bhuidhe, the sharpest mountain ridge in mainland Scotland. According to Peter Drummond's book 'Scottish Hill and Mountain Names' (SMT 1991) 'Corrag Bhuidhe' means 'yellow finger' presumably referring to the rock buttresses when seen from below.
Taken from below the summit of Bidein a' Ghlas Thuill ('peak of the grey-green hollow') on a superb day spent traversing the mountain in May 1977.
