Glen Shiel The waterfall of Eas nan Arm is hidden among the trees in the narrowest part of the glen. It probably owes its existence to a dyke of resistant rock intruded between 350 and 440 million years ago.

New Bridge from Old Road The new Eas-nan-Arm bridge carries the improved A87 over the River Shiel just upstream from the old bridge. The old military road, now superseded, is blocked with boulders at the end of the old bridge, which is to the left. The crag above the new bridge is Bac an Tuiridh, probably part of an igneous intrusion some 400 million years old.
