Kilmelford Parish Church The parish church of Kilmelford, which was dedicated to St. Maelrubha, first comes on record in the 15th Century. The church was rebuilt in the second half of the 18th Century and thoroughly renovated in 1890, but preserving the simple, rectangular plan of the earlier building, which had an external stair, probably leading to a gallery, against the west wall.
