Alas, the conifer plantations have blighted much of this upland area.

Excellent descent into Cwm Henog A narrow and muddy singletrack bridleway descent from Cefn Cwm Irfon into Cwm Henog. This one starts innocuously enough, and becomes rather less rideable lower down where it's been chewed up slightly by felling operations.

Bridleway across a hillside On the flank of Cefn Cwmirfon, this bridleway cuts diagonally across the hillside towards a ford at the edge of the felled forest, and a really pleasant ride to the farm at Cwm Henog.

River Irfon Washpool A change from the waterfalls just behind the p.o.v. here the river widens into a tranquil pool. There is a small roadside parking area and some benches to contemplate the river from.
