No entry A short link track between the Lôn Las Cymru long distance route and a forestry road on Graig Tynygarreg. It is apparently permissible to use motor vehicles on Lôn Las Cymru, but is definitely not so on most forestry roads in Wales. Hence, this 'No Entry' sign on a link between the two.

Farm track to Gilfach-y-dwn-fach This farm has two typical barky Border Collie sheepdogs who do a thorough job despite being no longer in their prime. Sheep dogs / farm dogs - I can tell a tale or two concerning them over the years. And laugh about it now. Wryly.

Building under partial renovation I presume that this was an old abandoned chapel from its size, location and architectural style and that someone had bought it and started conversion to a residence but work seems to have stalled some time ago. I hope that it can be successfully completed. Nice spot. Wonder what caused the glitch? Planning issues, or the banking crisis or a change of heart? Who knows...

Sheep pasture Ceredigion has many interesting landscapes that I really enjoy studying. I know that the landscape has evolved through human intervention over many centuries here but that it also looks engaging, interesting and on occasions almost 'other-worldly' or surreal is thought provoking for me.

Gate secured with a leather belt near Bryneithinog I have not seen a gate secured this way before; an expensive leather belt rather than baler twine. The gate's catch has been fitted so that it doesn't quite touch / meet. Someone has rectified this oversight with a leather belt that in my estimation must have cost maybe £50. An expensive alternative to cutting a length of twine or rope, or chain. Amusing though.
