Meall Dearg is a prominent hill located in Ross-shire, a county in the Highland region of Scotland. Standing at an elevation of 952 meters (3,123 feet), it is considered one of the finest viewpoints in the area. The hill is part of the Fannichs mountain range and is situated northeast of Loch Fannich.

Meall Dearg is known for its distinctive conical shape and rocky terrain, making it a popular destination for hikers and mountaineers. The ascent to the summit is relatively challenging, as it involves a steep and rugged path, but the reward is a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding landscapes. On a clear day, one can see the rolling hills, glittering lochs, and even the distant peaks of the Torridon mountains.

The hill is also famed for its rich biodiversity, with various species of flora and fauna found throughout its slopes. The lower regions are covered with heather and grasses, while higher up, the landscape transitions to rocky outcrops and scree slopes. Wildlife enthusiasts may spot mountain hares, golden eagles, and red deer roaming the area.
