Poorly puffin, Saligo Bay This puffin allowed me to get very close before attempting to swim out to sea, only to be washed back again by the waves. Obviously exhausted, there seemed little chance of it surviving. The nearest puffin colony would be on the Treshnish Isles, some 30 miles away.
