Roe deer, Thursley Common I disturbed this doe at quite close quarters, on high ground not far from the Old Portsmouth Road.  She ran off a short distance (maybe 15m) then paused for a second or two to look back at me - giving me the chance to take this zoom shot.

I should add that roe deer are quite often met with on the heaths of west Surrey.  On occasion you get a distant view in open country, but more often you disturb them among gorse and bracken, and in a second or two they are gone.  So I count myself lucky to have got this shot.
