Great Paxton is a small village located in the district of Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire, England. Situated approximately 4 miles south-west of St Neots, it lies along the B1041 road. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with the River Great Ouse flowing nearby.

Historically, Great Paxton dates back to the Domesday Book of 1086, where it was recorded as "Pachstone". The village has retained much of its original charm, with several listed buildings, including St. James Church, a Grade II* listed structure built in the 12th century. The church is known for its impressive Norman tower and medieval wall paintings.
