Culleave Croft Culleave Croft is a cottage (and perhaps an actual croft) on the north side of Strathcarron. The building appears to have been constructed originally as a typical, small 'one-and-a-half storey' dwelling but has been extended by the addition of a further room at one gable end and porch or sun lounge at the front where the main entry door would have been. A number of other houses in the valley have been extended similarly; see for example - Link.

Knoll with trees in Strathcarron The name Torr Beithe appears on larger scale OS maps close to the location of the knoll; it seems to translate from Gaelic as mound of the birch trees and so is likely to be the name of the feature.
