Road through coniferous plantation The road through the plantation has been upgraded! (Compare John Ferguson's photo of 2009 - Link !) Clearly timber extraction gear needs heavy duty road surfaces on which to run but there's another factor too; the road seems to see use currently by traffic concerned with the erection of a new pylon line, presumably on the controversial Beauly to Denny route.

Stream flowing from Lochan a' Bhàthaich The stream has left Lochan a' Bhàthaich and passed beneath a forestry road (from which the image was recorded) and is now heading down into Strath Glass where it will join the River Glass near to Inchully.

Moorland slope descending to lochan The location is south-west of the low moorland hill, Carn na Gèarraig. Below the lochan the slope descends to the coniferous plantation beyond which can be seen a road and the base of a pylon - presumably part of the controversial Beauly to Denny route.
