The Clett of Thusater, Caithness The entry for the Clett of Thusater in the OS Name Book of 1871-73 reads: "Applies to a large detached portion of cliff, a famous resort of sea birds - they come here for incubation. A fine ship was lost here some years ago, and a portion of the crew managed to get onto this rock, where they remained for 3 days before being rescued, the sea being so rough at the time that no boat could venture to the rock.".
