Steep hillside towards Highruse Wood A photo can only show so much.  This one in no way conveys the intense heat or the steepness of the slope just climbed before reaching this point. Having toiled up the hill in the afternoon heat, a look back down on the way so far.  The gradient has eased off now and some welcome shade is now reached.
