A lowland moss and Site of Special Scientific Interest beside Fallin, near Stirling. Wester Moss is managed by Butterfly Conservation, with the co-operation of Stirling Council to help protect and improve this rare habitat and the species that rely on it to survive (including the large heath butterfly). The Moss is surrounded by birch woodland, and birch seedlings are spreading across the area, threatening to turn it into woodland unless most of them are removed.
