Sgeir a' Luchd is a small island located off the coast of Ross-shire in the Scottish Highlands. Situated in the Inner Sound, between the mainland and the Isle of Skye, this uninhabited island is known for its natural beauty and rich wildlife.

Covered in grass and heather, Sgeir a' Luchd is a rocky island with a rugged coastline, characterized by steep cliffs and small sandy beaches. The island is approximately 0.25 square kilometers in size, making it a relatively small landmass. Due to its remote location, it is accessible only by boat or kayak.

The name "Sgeir a' Luchd" translates to "Rock of the People" in Scottish Gaelic, suggesting that the island may have been used in the past by local communities for fishing or as a lookout point. Today, the island is mainly visited by nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers.

The island is home to a variety of seabirds, including guillemots, razorbills, and puffins, which nest on the cliffs during the breeding season. Seals can often be seen basking on the rocks surrounding the island, and dolphins and porpoises are sometimes spotted swimming in the surrounding waters.
