1971 Chrysler Valiant VH Pacer Sedan Hemi Orange. The VH Valiant was built in Australia from June 1971 to May 1973, a larger car and new models. Sedans and 770 Chargers also assembled in New Zealand. Models available were; base Ranger, Ranger XL in sedan and wagon, luxury Regal, Regal 770 in hardtop as well. The new Charger coupe was available in XL, luxury 770 or the performance RT (and E37, E38, E48, E49 and E55 versions) At the introduction of the VH Valiant, the only performance model was the 4 door Pacer, the third and final Pacer. A couple of months later it was replaced by the new 2 door 'Charger' coupe. Only 1647 VH Pacers were made (4 with the triple weber 6 pack). It got bonnet and rear panel blackouts, side stripes, black grille with 4 red bars, styled steel wheels, sports interior, 265 Hemi 6 with 3 speed on the floor Engine; 218hp 265 cu in Hemi 6 cyl. 2bbl Carter carby.
1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 The second generation Camaro was built from 1970-81, it was longer, lower and wider with a fastback roof line, but the mechanicals were much the same, no convertible was available. 1974 saw a facelift, now a shovel nose front and the rear taillights wrapped around into the fenders. Available in base, RS (Rally Sport), LT (Luxury Touring) and the high performance Z28 1975; new wrap around rear window, no Z28 this year. 1977; Z28 back, with black grille and front and rear spoilers 1978; the new urethane bumpers were integrated into the car, new rear tail lights and a 'T-top' was now available. 1979; LT replaced by Berlinetta. 1980 engines; 110hp 250 6 cyl, 145hp 305 V8, 170 and 185hp 350 V8
1959 Mistral Special 2200cc The Mistral was a British kitcar brought to New Zealand by Christchurch boat builder and racing driver, Bob Blackburn and manufactured by Weltex Plastics Limited from 1957-59. The car used a Graeme Dennison designed chassis. A Dunedin company, Emslie and Flockton Ltd, then manufactured them from 1960-64, they had a wider intake at the front. They had the same wheelbase and was roughly the same size as the Cobra and featured deep gills on the front guards, which improved airflow to the engine.
