Kamasundo is a small populated place located in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone. The village is situated in the Tonkolili district and is approximately 155km northeast of Freetown, the capital city of Sierra Leone. The population of Kamasundo is estimated to be around 500 people.
The village is surrounded by lush green forests and is located on the banks of the Pampana River. Agriculture is the main source of livelihood for the people of Kamasundo. The fertile lands are used for growing crops such as rice, cassava, and vegetables. The village also has a few small businesses, including a local market where villagers trade their produce.
Kamasundo has limited access to basic amenities such as electricity and clean water. The village has a primary school, but there is no secondary school in the area. The nearest health center is located in the town of Magburaka, which is approximately 30km away.
Despite the challenges faced by the people of Kamasundo, the village is known for its vibrant culture and traditions. The community celebrates various festivals throughout the year and is known for its traditional music and dance.
