The Hobby Drive above Clovelly Hobby Drive to the east of Clovelly is a three mile long drive created for James Hamlyn in the early 19th century.  It was built by Napoleonic prisoners and later its construction was a way of providing employment.  It is followed by the South West Coast Path.
