Stanerandy is a Neolithic settlement located on the island of Orkney in Scotland. It is a significant heritage site that dates back over 5,000 years, making it one of the oldest settlements in the UK. The site consists of a series of well-preserved stone structures, including a large circular house and several smaller outbuildings.

The main feature of Stanerandy is a central hearth, which would have been used for cooking and heating. The walls of the buildings are made of stacked stone, and the roofs would have been thatched with reeds or grass. Archaeological excavations have revealed evidence of domestic activities, such as pottery making and food preparation.

Stanerandy is believed to have been inhabited by a small farming community, who would have relied on agriculture and fishing for their livelihood. The site offers valuable insights into the daily lives of Neolithic people and their social organization. It is a popular destination for tourists and archaeology enthusiasts, who come to marvel at the ancient structures and learn about the history of the Orkney islands.
