Old milepost This milepost is on the A167 just north of Five Mile Bank Farm. Which came first, the farm or the milepost? There was a Boroughbridge, Northallerton, Durham turnpike first enacted in 1745 but it is not known whether these metal posts date from as early as that or even into the early 19C. This post was painted in 2021 but by September 2021 there is flaking paint and rust. It is Grade II listed 1190452.
