Meallan na Corra, located in Sutherland, Scotland, is a small island situated off the northwest coast of the Scottish mainland. This uninhabited island is part of the North Atlantic archipelago known as the Inner Hebrides. Meallan na Corra covers an area of about 0.3 square kilometers and is characterized by its rugged and rocky landscape.

The island is predominantly composed of ancient volcanic rock, creating striking cliffs and steep slopes. Its highest point reaches approximately 50 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views of the surrounding sea and neighboring islands. Vegetation on Meallan na Corra is mainly comprised of hardy grasses, mosses, and lichens due to the island's exposure to harsh weather conditions.

The island is a designated nature reserve due to its importance as a breeding ground for various seabird species. Puffins, guillemots, razorbills, and kittiwakes can be found nesting on the cliffs during the breeding season, while seals and dolphins are often spotted in the waters surrounding the island.

Access to Meallan na Corra is limited and requires a boat or ferry ride from the nearby mainland. Visitors are advised to take caution when exploring the island, as its terrain can be treacherous and slippery.

Meallan na Corra provides a unique opportunity for nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers to observe a diverse range of wildlife in a remote and unspoiled setting. Its picturesque landscapes, rich biodiversity, and tranquil atmosphere make it a hidden gem in the Scottish Highlands.
