Category B listed. Listing number LB42070. Built between 1877 and 1879 to the designs of the architect J.C. Hay of 4 Charlotte Place, Edinburgh, by the contractors William and James Henderson of Salen, Mull. It was opened on 12 January 1879 by Revd. D. McLauchlan of Edinburgh.

Towards Eilean na Beithe

Another view in between the trees along the coast path north of Tobermory. Eilean na Beithe, meaning Birch Island, is the nearest point of land, and is a tidal island joined to Calve Island a short way off the coast opposite Tobermory.
